Can Death Be Your Motivator?
Different things work as motivating factor for different people. While some people may get motivated by looking at their idols, there are others who get motivated by negative influences to work hard. Can death too be a motivating factor for some individuals? Well, if you are to go by recent studies and researches, the answer is YES.

The question 'What if I die' has made many people work even harder. You know once you die all, your dreams will remain incomplete. It is for this reason that many people start working harder towards their goals as soon as the fear of death creeps in. The 'What if' factor makes one hungrier to perform better the next time.

It is not just your death but the death of your close ones too that can set your pulse racing. While most people end up being depressed or surrounded by utmost grief, there are others who make the death of closed ones a reason to stay motivated. There are several well known and successful personalities who looked for inspiration and motivation in the death of their parents and closed ones.

Several psychology experts say that it is the feeling of being able to do something for your loved ones that makes death inspiring. Some studies also state that people who are unable to do something for their loved ones find inspiration to work even harder after their death.

With all this, it will not be untrue to say that death can be a reason of motivation for sure. But, is it a positive motivator? Well, there are several experts who believe that even though death can be a reason for motivation to perform better, it does not always work in a positive manner.

Death, when used as a motivating factor can build a lot of negative emotions. Even if a person is trying hard to accomplish all his goals before he dies, it is the fear of death and insecurity that is building in one's mind. So, using death as a reason to motivate yourself is not really the best thing to do.

Thus, it is always better to look for motivation or inspiration in other things. You can find inspiration in the person you idolize. Read success stories of people to be able to inspire yourself to perform better. But, if you think that it is death that really sets your nerves racing then you might use it to motivate yourself. However, you need to constantly ensure that using death as a motivating factor does not lead to building of negative emotions.

Thus, if you wish to use death to motivate yourself, make sure that you are extremely careful.
